Magnus Järvelid 2013 – 2014

conductingMagnus Järvelid
choral conductors between HT2013 – VT2014

Having previously led another student choir in Växjö until autumn 2013, I chose instead to base Linnaeus choir with a different musical direction, vision, and working. My vision was to create a student choir with a clear and targeted projects form that approaches, that strives for diversity in musical breadth and exciting collaborations. Linnaeus Choir will not get stuck in a slot, I thought, but each project is a new blade that can take a completely different musical path than the previous.

During my time as leader of Linnaeus choir, we carried out under my guidance projects Vocal Rock and Vivat Academia, the latter of which was a joint project together with Malmö student choir.

Autumn 2014 I moved to Germany and therefore left of the pin to the next choir director for Linnaeus Choir, Frida Johansson.
